In March 2025, an event was organized by Nantes University specifically for Bachelor’s Degree students in Biological Engineering to raise awareness about the key challenges and opportunities driving the transition to a sustainable bioeconomy.

The event featured an insightful agenda designed to engage students and encourage deeper understanding of the vital role that sustainable technologies will play in the future.
Agenda highlights included:
A guided tour of the Algosolis platform, where participants had the unique opportunity to explore the demonstrators and innovations currently underway in the field of microalgae. The tour provided hands-on experience of the ongoing projects and technologies being developed at the platform, highlighting their potential applications in sustainable energy solutions and their vital role in addressing pressing environmental challenges.
A comprehensive presentation on the COCPIT project, focusing on the key challenges the project aims to address, as well as its profound impact on advancing the transition towards a sustainable bioeconomy. This included discussions on how microalgae can contribute to a greener future, particularly through their application in biodiesel production and the development of Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF) – a core objective of the COCPIT project.
